Hinckley Allen Partner B. Stephanie Siegmann Named to Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Circle of Excellence

Hinckley Allen is pleased to announce that Partner B. Stephanie Siegmann has been named to the 2026 Circle of Excellence by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The Circle of Excellence honors past Top Women of Law recipients who have continued to demonstrate exceptional professional achievement, leadership and influence since their original recognition. Stephanie’s selection recognizes a nearly 30-year career spanning military service, federal prosecution and private practice leadership, along with her sustained commitment to advancing women in the legal profession.

Since Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly first named her a Top Woman of Law in 2021, Stephanie has established a leading role at Hinckley Allen, where she chairs the firm’s Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection and International Trade & National Security Groups and co-chairs its Artificial Intelligence Practice. Drawing on her extensive experience in national security and complex investigations, she advises organizations navigating cybersecurity incidents, government investigations, white-collar criminal matters, and emerging legal and regulatory risks involving artificial intelligence.

Before joining Hinckley Allen in 2022, Stephanie spent more than two decades in public service, first as a Navy Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer and later as a federal prosecutor. She tried dozens of federal cases, oversaw hundreds of complex investigations, and became the first woman to serve as National Security Chief for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, supervising all national security investigations and prosecutions in the Commonwealth.

Beyond her practice, Stephanie is committed to expanding opportunities for women in the legal profession. As co-chair of the Women’s Bar Association’s Women in the Courtroom Committee and vice chair of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association’s Global Programs Committee, she helps develop programming that strengthens women’s advocacy skills, expands professional networks and creates opportunities for leadership.

Stephanie also teaches in Boston College Law School’s Master of Legal Studies in Cybersecurity, Risk and Governance program, mentors college and law school students as well as lawyers, and regularly shares her knowledge of emerging legal and cybersecurity issues. Her professional accomplishments include three Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Go To Lawyer recognitions for Cybersecurity and Data Privacy, most recently in 2026 and being the recipient of UMass Boston’s 2025 Distinguished Alumni Beacon Award.

Stephanie’s selection to the Circle of Excellence reflects her continued leadership and accomplishments, from a distinguished career in national security to advising organizations on evolving legal challenges and helping create opportunities for the next generation of women attorneys.
