The Legal 500 Recognizes Hinckley Allen Among the Nation’s Leading Construction Law Practices

Hinckley Allen has once again been recognized among the nation’s leading construction law practices, earning national rankings in the Legal 500 2026 United States edition for Construction and Construction Litigation. The recognition reinforces the firm’s longstanding reputation for guiding clients through the most complex disputes, transactions, and regulatory challenges in the construction industry.

In its assessment of the firm, the Legal 500 noted that Hinckley Allen “is geared to handle a broad range of construction disputes across the public and private sector, with extensive experience guiding clients through litigation, mediation, and arbitration proceedings.”

The recognition follows the release of the Chambers USA 2026 Guide, in which Hinckley Allen earned construction rankings across its geographic footprint, including Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, and New York. Together, the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners recognitions underscore the firm’s national reputation, deep industry knowledge, and broad experience advising clients across every phase of the construction lifecycle.

For decades, Hinckley Allen has served public and private sector clients across the full spectrum of the industry, including project owners, developers, design professionals, general contractors, subcontractors, and sureties. Led by Joel Lewin, James J. Barriere, and John P. Connelly, the firm’s Construction & Public Contracts Group comprises more than 30 attorneys across New England and Florida, providing strategic counsel on complex transactional, regulatory, and dispute-related matters.

Reflecting the firm’s leadership on issues shaping the construction industry, the team recently announced its representation of the Associated General Contractors of New York and a broad coalition of business and construction industry organizations challenging New York’s expansion of the prevailing wage law as unconstitutional.

The Legal 500 rankings, together with the firm’s Chambers recognition, demonstrate Hinckley Allen’s continued strength as a trusted advisor to construction industry clients navigating increasingly complex projects, disputes, and regulatory challenges throughout the United States.
