Kathleen Mahan Named Vice Chair of New Hampshire Bar Foundation, Continuing a Commitment to Education and Service

Hinckley Allen is pleased to announce that Partner Kathleen M. Mahan has been named Vice Chair of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation Board of Directors, continuing her longstanding service to New Hampshire’s legal community.

The New Hampshire Bar Foundation supports access to justice and promotes public understanding of the law by funding civil legal aid and law-related education throughout the state. As Vice Chair, Kate will help advance the Foundation’s mission and guide its strategic initiatives.

The appointment builds on Kate’s extensive service to the legal profession in the Granite State. She chairs the New Hampshire Bar Association’s (NHBA) Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Board and serves as a trustee and membership chair of the New Hampshire Supreme Court Society. She also previously served as President of NHBA, becoming the first woman in more than a decade to serve in the role. During her presidency, she focused on strengthening connections, supporting attorney wellbeing and professional development, and creating opportunities for the next generation of lawyers.

Kate brings more than two decades of legal experience to these roles. A partner in Hinckley Allen’s Litigation Group, she represents businesses and individuals in complex commercial disputes involving corporate governance, business restructuring, trade secrets, restrictive covenants, intellectual property, contracts, and high-stakes property matters. She is also a frequent speaker on litigation, professionalism, and issues affecting the practice of law.

Her continued service reflects a career-long commitment to strengthening legal institutions, mentorship, and expanding access to justice.
