Hinckley Allen congratulates Emily Covey on her appointment as Co-President of the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association (CAPABA) for the coming year. Emily will serve alongside Carolyn Ikari, Retired Assistant U.S. Attorney.
Emily has been an active member of CAPABA for seven years, most recently serving as Vice President of Communications and being recognized with the organization’s Rising Star Award in 2024. Her ongoing leadership reflects a strong commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the legal profession and the broader Connecticut community.
Founded in 2000, CAPABA is a statewide affinity bar association dedicated to promoting the interests of Asian Pacific American attorneys, judges, law students, and community members in Connecticut. The organization provides professional development opportunities, mentorship programs, and community outreach initiatives aimed at increasing representation and engagement of Asian Pacific Americans in the legal field. CAPABA also advocates on issues impacting the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and collaborates with other bar associations to advance access to justice and equity under the law.
