Hinckley Allen Welcomes Tax Counsel, Jennifer B. Bolton

Hinckley Allen is pleased to welcome Jennifer B. Bolton as Counsel to the Firm’s Tax group. Jen joins the Firm’s Boston office after most recently serving as Counsel at Verrill Dana LLP.

Jen provides counsel to individuals, corporations, partnerships, nonprofits, and other entities on domestic and international tax issues throughout the various stages of their business development. These services range from choice of entity and entity conversion decisions to tax planning for ongoing businesses, including acquisitions, mergers, and dispositions. She also advises clients on joint venture matters.

Jen brings many years of experience to Hinckley Allen, including:

  • Counseling clients in federal and state tax controversies, including substantive and procedural issues, such as statute of limitations for assessments and refunds, and interest abatements
  • Representing clients before the federal and state taxing authorities on matters that involve requests to make voluntary disclosures of individuals’ ownership in foreign accounts
  • Preparing IRS private letter rulings on behalf of clients
